"West Carrollton is under-going a change for the positive that started with an economic plan to help generate more business opportunities within the city. Progress is being made to create a full interchange at the Central Avenue/Dixie Drive exit in West Carrollton, exit 47. The current make-up of the interchange only allows one-direction access into the city and another one-direction access to the neighboring community of Miamisburg. The state should have preliminary drawings available for public view this spring. Although the project is slated to begin in 2011, city officials are petitioning the state in hopes of moving the project forward. The new interchange will increase the accessibility and availability of valuable property along the interstate in West Carrollton. Another benefit to local residents is the parks department, which is responsible for maintaining more than 100 acres of park land, including 10 parks, the soccer complex and Wilson Park pool."
