Map of the Area

"Officials of the village of Waynesville are taking the steps to preserve the community's strong historical ties and small-town charm as well as prepare for any future needs as Warren County continues its population growth. Village officials are preparing for the future of their community by creating a long-term capital improvement plan that will address any water and sewer system issues over a 10- to 15-year period. A few other projects include a Main Street improvement program aimed at redesigning the village's central business district and a revised economic development strategy to attract a more diverse business base. With its ties to the past, Waynesville earned the title of "Antiques Capital of the Midwest." More than 70 antique and specialty shops line Main Street, along with numerous restaurants and other shops, making it a premier shopping destination for visitors. More than 350,000 visitors also flock to Waynesville's popular Ohio Sauerkraut Festival, held annually the second full weekend in October. "
