Map of the Area

"The Lebanon-Countryside YMCA Trail is an 8-mile trail that travels from downtown Lebanon to the Countryside YMCA and then continues southeast where it connects with the Little Miami Scenic Trail. As part of the Ohio to Erie Trail Corridor, the trail, which travels along the Ohio Erie Canal routes of the 1800s from Lake Erie to the Ohio River, the Lebanon connection will give residents access to more than 200 miles of regional bike trails. Travelers along the bike trail can enjoy natural scenery and have the opportunity to cross the Little Miami River on a restored railroad bridge. The construction of this $2.5 million project was funded through a federal grant received from the Ohio Department of Transportation. In addition to providing members of the community with a recreational activity for the whole family, the trail also connects historic downtown Lebanon with the Warren County government campus, the Countryside YMCA and local residential neighborhoods. The city offers a variety of activities for its residents. In addition to a strong parks and recreation department, Lebanon hosts many cultural events, such as the Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, the Apple Festival in the fall and the Old Fashioned Christmas Street Festival in December. The city is also near such major attractions such as Paramount's Kings Island, Caesar Creek State Park, Fort Ancient State Park and the Golf Center at Kings Island. Settled in 1796, Lebanon was officially founded in 1802. The city's rich history and Colonial-style charm has made the downtown area a popular place for antique shops and distinctive crafts and gift boutiques. The Golden Lamb Inn, Ohio's oldest inn, was established in 1803, and has hosted many notable visitors, such as Charles Dickens and 10 U.S. presidents."
