"With the new well field on line and functioning, village officials are ready to tackle another project to provide better service to area residents. "The No. 4 well is in the rotation and is working just fine," said Tim Howard, Enon village administrator. "It's doing what we hoped it would do by giving us the secondary water supply for the water department. So, we are finished with wells and well fields for right now. We were happy to see that project finish, and we are ready to get another one going." The new project is the Stine Road Loop, which will receive funding from the Ohio Public Works Commission. Part of the project was identified back in 1988 in the West Enon Estate subdivision. The plans call for taking the loop farther back and feed into the Clark County facility. "We tried several times to get funding for this project, and last year we were successful," Howard said. "With lobbying from the county and village, we were able to show the need for it." The project will cost $790,000 with about $314,000 coming from the Ohio Public Works Commission in the form of grants and loans. Clark County officials approved $428,000 to apply to the loop project. The rest of the funding will come from local funding. "
